Joyous day BPs (Beautiful People). With deer EVERYWHERE, the air a crisp 50 degrees, the grass covered with dewy diamonds and mushrooms seemingly underfoot with every step, there’s a joint of Possum Town Farm’s Honey Child in my pocket and this is “the perfect time” to spark. Walking along the tree line and taking in the sights and smells of the country in North Ms, I do just that, and after the first couple of hits, my mind can’t help but focus on that thought, “the perfect time” and how many times I’ve said and thought it. BOOM! Here is my morning meditation!

That moment of, “this is the perfect time to smoke”  How often had I waited or put amazing ideas on the back burner of my mind because I wanted to wait on “the perfect time” to start? Forming these amazing plans of action, whether it be a new business idea, or starting a new hobby or, here’s a BIG one, starting to work on healthier living or increased exercise and…. nothing. Even smaller things like this morning, and the perfect time to smoke, or “this is the perfect time to hike” or walk the green line or check out that new lunch spot, WHATEVER the thing may be.

How often we hold things, stop, delay or push things back waiting for the perfect time to do something. This has been a huge part of my life in the last 2 years but mostly the last year. I think back to when I first decided to start my YouTube channel and do reviews, I had to push past the thoughts of the perfect time! I remember telling myself, “no not this time, I’m doing my first video on THIS DATE, no excuses” and I did just that! Still numb from the dentist with new dental work exaggerating and already prominent lisp, I recorded my first video, did a little editing and posted it for the world to see! It was one of the best, non-perfect timing things I’ve done in a long time. Ever maybe.

What is it though? What is the truth behind the perfect timing game? In my case it is fear, perfectionism and ego and I would bet money that I’m not alone lol! Fear of failing and thinking that if I have everything prepared perfectly and wait till the perfect moment that the outcome will be perfect and ooooh what lies we tell ourselves lol! Life still happens at “the perfect time” and mistakes are still made. Why not do it now? The biggest difference between waiting for the “the perfect time” and doing it now is that doing it now is the only way to guarantee that it gets done! The perfect time only exist in our minds. It’s a possibility. A mere chance. A probability. If we start now, the likelihood of success skyrockets. How many plans have you seen disappear in between now, and the perfect time? Let’s start doing! NOW!

I say let’s, we, us, and our because when I share my thoughts in my motivational Monday posts on FB and now here on my site in my blog, these are meditations that I’ve thought through because I’ve needed them. I’m not perfect by a long shot and I am not an all positive Buddha cranking out one liners lolllll! The belly is kind of Buddha-ing these day though lol! I just want to share these positive thoughts with you in the hopes that they help y’all like they help me and I hope that this Morning’s Walk Thoughts helps you like it is me today.
